Engagement with Social Media

I use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr in ways to get my success of being in college and to get involved with the community and sharing the success with my fellow classmates in hopes to get others to engage with me. I think that using social media is a perfect way in bringing people together and using it in a business opportunity. With using these many different social media sites to follow up on what’s going on in the community. Who I want to follow or to correspond with in getting involved in doing what I love to do.

If I really think about it I would have to say that my cohorts and partners in crime would have to be my fellow classmate, my friends, and business colleagues. I have right now two different business opportunities going on now. I have a photo-shoot I might be doing on a women’s retreat and I’m doing a video for the humane society for their fundraiser in the Spring. Wow how great is that and maybe even this could lead to new found friends and business in the future.

I really want to start a business in photography and I know that having social media accounts like Twitter and LinkedIn I have to be engaging in them and checking out what others are engaging in and to engage with them.

My Story

Well first I want everyone to know a little bit about me I’m the middle child of 7 children. I will say that having 6 other siblings that I had to play second fiddle to all my older siblings with hand me down clothes and getting treated like I wasn’t good enough, but I have come along way since then and I want people to know who Lois Jean Spicer is today not who I was when I was kid. So let me tell you who Lois is. She’s a Photographer, Video-er, and an advocate for all the cruelty to animals in our community. 

I have a desire that I hold in my heart to capture natural beautiful moments in the lens of my camera whether it being photographs or videos. To look through my camera and exquisitely bring out every extrodinary   color of a sunset and a rainbow, or the details of the tears streaming down the father of the brides face on her wedding day. Those moments plus so many others are the ones I want to capture, creating not only beautiful prints to be viewed later but memories that will last a lifetime.

Here’s a photo that I took of Grandma Jessie and My nieces at Christmas and I photo-shopped it and changed the background because we no longer have Grandma Jessie with us the Lord said that he needed her with him.

 

The truth  is anyone can get lucky and take a pretty photo but it takes a certain kind of person to see the beauty in a moment. I’m that person. 

 

 

I don’t set up artificial moments but more of let the beauty come out all naturally on it’s own.

My company, my passion for Photography signifies a rebirth in my life form being that middle child to who I’ve become. No longer dwelling on the past, nor fearful of the future. Simply living life and appreciating the beauty in every moment.

Brand – Positive Experience

So for me my positive brand is Community Colleges and Basic Education . Well I first started off back in 2016 and coming back to school and I will tell you that I was so scared at first that I didn’t think that I could do it and look at me now!!!

So first off I really want everyone to know what a great choice I made when I started on getting my GED back in 2014 in Spokane WA. it has given me the strength to carry on into coming back to school.  I really didn’t now if I wanted to do it or not and the teachers and students were all very helpful in helping me make a decision to  stay and try make it work. If it wasn’t for all the great teachers there to guide me along the way and having faith in me when I didn’t think that I could do it. I know that teachers have a struggle in life and sometimes it’s hard but they just keep going strong well that is for the teachers at.

Engagement

Engagement measures how much and how often others interact with you and your content in social media. When someone takes the time to like, favorite or comment on something you’ve posted, they’re actively engaging with your content. Engagement metrics showcase audience action, which is important for social media health and growth.

A subset of engagement metrics are sharing metrics, which represent when people amplify your content. All of the major social networks allow users to share content whether it’s a retweet, share, reblog, repin, etc. Engagement metrics are important in highlighting the success of content, but depending on your goals, sharing metrics could be of higher value because they extend your content beyond your own audience, increasing its exposure.
