Week 7 Essay

Star Trek is a science-fiction entertainment franchise that began in the 1960s. From there it blossomed into a word wide obsession, with movies still being generated for it. Older people will reminisce about sitting with their siblings around their one tiny television and tuning in to the weekly episode of Star Trek. This became a cultural phenomenon not over night. Countless writers and producers had to work very hard to keep the series relevant and entertaining. From there, they grew into films, 13 to be exact, starting from the 1970 up until last year. A lot of hard work goes into keeping a series watched by many and loved by all. It has to be hard work otherwise every television series will be going for decades and new shows would never be produced because there would be no air time! Star Trek continues to wow audiences and be worn as merchandise all over the world. That is certainly something amazing to achieve!!!

I’ve was watching Star Trek as a child way back when!!! I really enjoyed watching the older star treks I just couldn’t get into the Star Trek the next Generation I guess that’s because I was in love with William Shatner and I really loved watching all the episodes because it took you into something beyond your normal day living!!!! I always used to tell everyone to “Beam me up Scotty!!!!”  I to this day believe that there is life on another Planet.
