Week 3 Essay

Explain why fairy tales, fables, and myths are used to teach moral conduct. Share what fictional story had an influence on your life, what character in it you related to, and what forms of media your participated with.

One of the fables that I remember reading is the one about Curious George also The Little Engine that Could. Remember these?  For generations, adults and children have been listening to the same fairy tales and fables. Cinderella, Lion King, The Seven Dwarfs and many many more. They have been popular for many Decades!!! A fictional story that’s had an influence on my life growing up was TV and movie I always loved watching “The Wizard of Oz” also I truly learned that these are only what you make of them and I always thought of myself being Dorthy and being swept away to some other time in life and then I member that I can only dream about it!!! I always told myself that dreaming is a good thing.

I Also learned from a lot of T.V. shows like Three’s Company, The Jefferson’s, One that I truly always liked was Mork and Mindy, One Day at a Time, Bewitched, and I Dream of Jeanie, Green Acres!!!! OMG!!!! I could go on forever. Yes I truly believe that learning from these shows and being able to dream that one day my life would be better.
