Team Storytelling Video Project Original Story Proposal !

I chose Spay to Save for my original storytelling video because I love animals and I want to be a voice in what is happening to animals around the world and I would love to be an advocate and volunteer for their organization!!!! I would love to see more people get involved in our community and the best way to do that is to make some videos people will see in helping the animals out there that don’t have anyone or they have been abandoned because a person can’t or don’t want and to teach them there is places out there other than abandoning them on the street somewhere.

We want to educate the public about the Spay to Save Organization. A group of animal advocates in Clallam County that have formed a nonprofit organization and their sole purpose is to save lives of the animals by spay/neuter.

Background & Need

Spay to Save Non-Profit Organization has been around for about seven years now, and they’re always looking for additional volunteers. There is a need for a greater public outreach and a video promoting Spay to Save should bring additional funding.  Spay to Save is a place to learn about what exactly is entailed with TNR and how they trap and release, so it’s considered an educational non-profit group. In helping the community want to learn and get involved.

Approach, Form & Style

The purpose of this film will be to educate the public about Spay to Save and T.N.R. which means trap neuter and release ferrel cats., the various projects and the opportunities to learn about helping our community with an ongoing need to spay animals that need help and have no voice.  The video will explore the history of Spay to Save & TNR program, and including early promoters.  It will highlight some of the volunteers and the work they do.  We also want to focus on the opportunities for the public to learn more about how it works for the TNR and volunteering in trapping.  There is an upcoming project – of trapping a colony of ferrel cats– that might be good to highlight.
