Week 5 Essay – Advertising Impact

I stumbled a crossed this video while watching the video’s from the Super Bowl and thought that this was a very positive and crucial for women in life because we don’t always see ourselves as beautiful and I liked that this sketch artist was able to sketch these beautiful ladies without even seeing them and doing it just by them giving him information on what they see and how they think they look!!!! Very powerful.

Here’s another one from the Super Bowl and this a very powerful because it show’s how the boy’s think it;s funny to make fun of what they were asked, but then when they were asked about if this was how the perceived their sister’s and how they really thought about what they just did very powerful. The point is to never judge people just because you think it’s funny, Because it’s not and sometimes very hurtful!!! Still, some say Always’ Super Bowl ad didn’t go far enough.   Here’s a quote from Elissa Stein, co-author of Flow: The Cultural Story of Menstruation.

“I thought they did a great job, but it has zero to do with menstruation, as do most menstrual ads,” Stein said. “Everybody was talking about toe fungus,” she added, referring to a Super Bowl ad for the fungal treatment Jublia, “and yet you can’t about periods.”
